Today has been brilliant. The sun shone for most of the day and we actually sat on the beach without hoodies.
We brunched at GJs pancake bar, (a favourite from when we were here two years ago), and then stayed on Woolacombe beach until late afternoon.
Because it was such a glorious evening, we decided to go to our favourite Barricane Beach Cafe for another Al Fresco Sri-Lankan curry supper.
I have got some new sunglasses and I'm thrilled with them. It always comes as a surprise to my friends that as an optometrist by profession and as a lover of all accessories, I had until I got these a matter of weeks ago, only one pair of sunglasses. These are by Tommy Hilfiger at Specsavers.
I visited the Leeds branch to choose these, (Specsavers are all franchises), and I was looked after by Aga, a charming Polish optical assistant who now follows my blog and with whom I have a reciprocal relationship on Instagram. It's things like this that make blogging very, very special.
The Barricane Beach Cafe is unlicensed, so taking one's own is part of the fun.
I'm definitely a glass half full girl, but either way, it still needs filling up, does it not?
