Yesterday was the most beautiful autumnal Saturday in quite a while. Clear skies, sunshine and more than a slight nip in the air. My son went to watch a football match with his friend so giving my 14 year old daughter and I the opportunity to spend a few precious hours together in the afternoon. She has seen an increase in the amount of homework this academic year, so has less free time and I was thrilled when she asked if I wanted to look round the shops followed by, (of course), a festive pit-stop here in Skipton.
She takes most of the outfit photographs for my blog and I would find it incredibly difficult without her. It's tricky at this time of year due to the lack of daylight at either side of the school day and I prefer them when taken outdoors, hence my "set" being against the wall of the house, if we can snatch a few minutes before she leaves for school. Yesterday though, we went to the park before we headed to the shops. The sunlight was just beautiful and she did a great job.
I wore cosy, much needed layers for what was a lovely relaxing afternoon.
The leaf pendant is from the latest collection on my online boutique. I love all jewellery but that inspired by nature holds particular appeal.
And how fabulous are these faux fur wrist cuffs? They were (another) impulse buy when Sally and I were procuring stock for the boutique. They bridge the gap nicely between the sleeve and glove.
And the silver double star ring is rapidly becoming a favourite.
