It seems like weeks ago that I wore this outfit but in actual fact, it was just ten days ago when I attended the wedding blessing of my cousin and her husband who got married 14 years ago in a civil ceremony but who'd always yearned for a religious service. The sun shone and it was a day of celebration and happiness and it was very heartwarming to see their dream come true after so long.
My maxi dress is from last year and I always enjoy wearing it. In the past, I've worn a denim jacket with it, but on this occasion, decided that my cropped orange pique jacket would be ideal for picking out the orange in the print of the dress ad also for adding a slightly more formal finish to the outfit.
You may remember that I wore the same orange jacket with a pineapple top and boyfit jeans, in a way that very much dressed down the jacket. It's proving to be a very versatile piece.
Hearts and pearls seemed the perfect choice for a wedding, although both necklace and bracelet seem perfect for pretty much everything. This is from my online boutique Lizzy O and is available with a silver heart too.
