The Hope Navy Crepe Cocoon Dress and Navy Knee High Boots

I've been favouring a slightly sharper, more fitted silhouette of late, not least because it's been a fabulously busy few weeks socially and a lot of my "going out " outfits have consisted in part of skinny jeans or coated leggings. Sometimes though, it's good to go for comfort. Stylish, elegant comfort. 

The Hope Cocoon dress in navy crepe is perfectly named. Cocoon refers to its shape, but I did feel cocooned by the weighty crepe and the way in which the dress falls. Like all Hope clothing it is beautifully fabricated and like most of their range, is made in Britain.   

The simple shape and unadorned neckline of the dress dress lends itself to either a statement pendant or a scarf.  My knee-high navy boots with their contrasting brown cuff led me to choose a rose gold pendant, (rather than silver), and a scarf with warm autumnal shades including blue and actually, navy and brown is on of my favourite autumn colour combinations. (Both the scarf and heart shaped pendant are from my own online boutique Lizzy O. The scarf is also available in black with a red trim and the heart pendant is also available in matt silver)

You'll perhaps be able to see from my flyaway hair that it was quite blustery when we photographed this outfit. A huge proportion of the outtakes confirm this!
