1960s inspired designs are everywhere this season and it's one of my favourite style eras. Following the conservative fifties, the first part of the decade saw essentially simple silhouettes and understated accessories in complete contrast to the latter part where psychedelia swept the world.
The boxy A-line shape of this dress epitomises the simple elegance of that time. It's from Hobbs and is part of their Workwear Collection
It has a high neckline, wide sleeves and a zip at the back. The dress is neat and is generously cut (I'm wearing a UK 10). It hangs beautifully and doesn't crease. I think it lends itself to a chunky pearl necklace to add a little Audrey. The zipped pockets add some contemporary edge
