I love fairy lights and as the evenings begin to draw in, I like to put them around the home to add atmosphere and to make things more romantic; more magical. And, (whispers), a little bit Christmassy.
Blaze On is a small company offering ethically sourced fairy lights and candles and was born when its founders bought a one-way ticket to Thailand a decade ago. The friends they made there introduced them to a more balanced and ethical way of living which resulted in the launch of the brand when they returned to the UK.
They collaborate with around twenty home-run businesses in Thailand, making it possible for parents to support their families and educate their children. Wherever possible, everything is Fair Trade and ethically sourced. They are very aware of the environment and use organic products and recycle wherever possible.
This is evident in the beautiful packaging.
These are Chelsea Rose LED 20 in Natural Cream
Leaves from the rubber tree are dried and folded by hand to form the shape of the petals.
The beam passes through the petals to give soft diffuse light.
They're absolutely beautiful.
The petals can be folded out to give a more open shape or left closed to look like a rosebud.
I'm always drawn to whites and creams. They work beautifully with soft, neutral colour schemes and are gentle and restful. This is just a small selection of the other designs available.
And how cute is this tealight that was included in my parcel?
I love the ethos of this company and am thrilled with my Cabbage Rose Fairy Lights. Do take a look, you won't be disappointed.
